Show Racism the Red Card – Finland
Seinäjoella 10-12.5 järjestetyssä Taitaja2016 -tapahtumassa näytettiin punaista korttia rasismille eri ammattikuntien johdolla. Tällä haluttiin kertoa, että työelämässä jokaisen työntekijän on voitava luottaa siihen, että työpaikan arjessa, palkanmaksussa ja taukotiloissa vallitsee tasa-arvo. Sekä kentällä että konttorissa ei saa olla sijaa rasismille tai epäoikeudenmukaisuudelle. Tapahtumassa paikalla oli myös SJK:n pelaajia haastateltavana.

Ylivieskan jäähallissa 30.4 pelatussa ottelussa Sievi Futsal ja Ilves Futsal näyttivät yhdessä näyttävästi punaista korttia rasismille ennen ottelua. Lisäksi Ilves Futsalin pelaajat lämmittelivät ennen peliä Punainen kortti rasismille t-paidoissa. Vaikka joukkueet pelaavat vastakkain kauden tärkeimpiä pelejä, heille on tärkeää näyttää yhdessä rasisminvastaista viestiä. Kiitokset molemmille joukkueille esimerkillisestä toiminnasta!
7.4.2016 Salohallissa pelatussa Salon Vilpas – Kouvot välisessä ottelussa molempien joukkeiden pelaajat ja yli 1800 katsojaa näyttivät yhdessä punaista korttia rasismille. Ottelun voitti Salon Vilpas jännittävien vaiheiden jälkeen 76-74. Ottelusarjan viides ja ratkaiseva ottelu pelataan Kouvolassa 9.4.
The street floorball Finnish championships and a ”SRtRC” exhibition match were played in sunny Helsinki on the 29th of August 2015. The action-packed day was played with the theme of ”Show Racism the Red Card” and it gathered together players from all over Finland.
Comets Cup football tournament for juniors will be played in Jyväskylä during the 22nd and 23rd of August.
The tournament is representing the theme ”Show Racism the Red Card”. The aim is to tackle Racism and promote equality in the football field. Games will be played in the fields of Huhtasuo and Palokka.
Show Racism The Red Card is uniting Nordic countries. Nordic network has launched a website where you can read the latest international news and find links to the Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian and Danish ”SRTRC” websites.
Fimu, Football players union, Yökoris and 09 Helsinki Human Rights took part to the ”We have a dream” demonstration in Helsingin Kansalaistori. More than 15 ooo people gathered together to the demonstration which was organized to oppose the writings of a member of the Finns Party.
By playing football, basketball and dancing the participants wanted to ”Show Racism The Red Card” and support the cause of open and multicultural Finland.

Show Racism the Red Card was representing in Ethio-Fin 10 year anniversary event in Käpylä. Football tournament had a lot of participants and day was full of sports and togetherness. Participants could also play different games and enjoy music and Ethiopian food.
Ethio-Fin Sport Club (EFSC) is a non-political and non-religious sport club founded in 2005, to create good friendship, practice in any kind of sport, to organize cultural events and mostly to develop closeness among Ethiopian community living in Finland.

Show Racism the Red Card will be part of the Floorball/Katusähly tournaments this summer. There will be elimination tournaments organized by Salibandyliitto during the summer. The Finnish Championships in floorball will be competed in six categories: men, women, boys under 16 years old, girls under 16 years old, mixed team (there must be at least one man & one woman in the field all the time), company category for work communities and their families.
The big final for the Finnish Championships will take place 29th of August 2015 in Kamppi, Narinkkatori. There will be also Show Racism the Red Card -match in the finals.
